NEW Networking Event--Based on 6-Degrees of Separation
You've been PERSONALLY INVITED to join the Outbreak!
Tuesday, Dec. 8th 5-8PM
BUtterfield8 in Stamford, CT
http://www.socialmediaoutbreak.com
Maybe you've got 200 connections on LinkedIn, 150 Facebook buddies and 50 Twitter followers--when was the last time you really maximized the power of those connections?
Social Media Outbreak is the newest, and among the most powerful, way to take those online connections...offline.
It is a series of invitation-only gatherings in which guests are asked to attend ONLY via social media websites. These gatherings are part networking, part social, and wholly fun and eye-opening for attendees.
Social Media Outbreak is designed to demonstrate that we are all connected, and usually by fewer than 6 degrees.
Here's how it works: You invite a friend via social media. You might invite a Twitter follower...they invite a Facebook buddy...that person sends an invitation to a LinkedIn colleague...who invites another LinkedIn contact...and on....and on! PLEASE FOLLOW UP WITH YOUR INVITES AND MAKE SURE THEY RSVP ON THIS SITE!!!
The benefit: No awkward walk into an event an hoping you run into someone you know. You were invited by a connection, and you invited someone else.
You'll be surprised by the social or new business connections you'll make simply by connecting in-person with friends-of-friends.
It is a small world--and social media makes it even smaller!
Social Media Outbreak will show you that you need to be logged on to be plugged in!
By limiting attendance to paid, invitation-only, we assure you that you will meet people you need to know, people that "get it" and people with whom you will learn and have fun.
If everyone knows 300 people, and you connect with just 100 at a SMO function, you've increased your network by 30K--just by having fun.
So what will YOU get out of this? $20 ticket price includes:
1. Your first drink and appetizers,
2. $25 gift certificate to BUtterfield8 and
3. Rani Connor of "Designs By Rani" has agreed to display her hand-made jewelry at Social Media Outbreak. Visit www.DesignsByRani.com to see her stuff -- bring your checkbook or cash to buy that night. Get your holiday shopping started early by buying beautiful jewelry.
At the end of the night, we'll provide you with complete social media contact info for all attendees - and show you how we are all connected.
Wanna play? Reserve your ticket now (attendance is limited), then download the invitation to send to your friends. We can't make it easier than that!
Co-Hosted by: Tom McFeeley PR/Social Media (http://www.tommcfeeley.com) and Melanie Szlucha Resumes/Job Search Strategies/Job Interviewing (http://www.redinc.biz)
