These positions are not clerical in nature. Qualified candidates MUST have a strong background in Engineering, Construction and/or Project Management.
CLERK OF THE WORKS I Salary $42,117 – 63,174
The City of Stamford is looking for a professional to monitor projects under construction. The potential candidates will insure compliance with prescribed contract plans and specifications; assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates; review and approve delivery of materials; meet and review with contractor on projects, document progress of work and report progress of project (s) to supervisor; does related work as required. (Not eligible for benefits)
CLERK OF THE WORKS II Salary $58,463 – 87,695
The potential candidate will perform engineering review, general construction project management and/or inspection of work of more than ordinary difficulty on various capital projects. Work will consist of, but may not be entirely limited to civil, architectural and/or structural engineering projects. Requires project management, community relations and fiscal oversight experience. Proficient with computers a plus. (Not eligible for benefits)
