Pink Slip Party for Unemployed Feb 25th in Norwalk
Local networking event helps connect job seekers with employers who are hiring
TRUMBULL CT - Have you been laid off or just worried about losing your job? Well FairfieldCountyJobs.com wants to help. On Wednesday evening February 25th from 5:30-8:30pm at BlackBear Saloon in South Norwalk, hundreds of job seekers and over a dozen employers will converge for the regions first ever Pink Slip Party.
The event is a combination of cocktail party and job fair. Instead of job seekers visiting tables like at a job fair, recruiters and candidates mingle in a casual setting to encourage networking. Food and discounted drinks will be available.
OperationsInc, a local HR consulting firm is the exclusive sponsor of the event. They offer a job search workshop called ‘Job Search Essentials’ which they are promoting to job seekers. The firm will also have career experts on-hand to help with resume advice.
To attend the pink Slip Party job seekers must register online at http://fairfieldcountyjobs.eventbrite.com/
(Tickets are $9 and must be paid for online via Credit Card or PayPal.)
Employers may attend for free although a limited number of spots are available. To register your company call (800) 399-6651.
“We are extremely excited about an event like this”, says Chris Russell, President and Founder of FairfieldCountyJobs.com. “Job seekers are looking for ways to network and reach companies who are hiring and we hope the party fosters those connections.” Russell adds that the party is limited to the first 250 people who signup.
Companies who are already registered include News America Marketing, Connect Computer, Interactive Brokers, Tasty Bites, Integralis and Mackey & Guasco Staffing. Representatives will be on hand to collect resumes and talk to job seekers about their openings.
