**OPEN COMPETITIVE & PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATION NO. 07 - 30SALARY: $82,254 (full time); $39.54 per hour DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, Assistant Director of Nursing Services or designee, supervises all nursing activities of the licensed and non-licensed nursing and designated office support staff, on an assigned shift, at the Smith House Skilled Nursing Facility; may be required to supervise support staff and ancillary staff in the absence of their department head or supervisor; does related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and four (4) years of progressively responsible nursing experience, one (1) of which shall have been in geriatric, long term care or general medical/surgical nursing within the past five (5) years. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: At time of application, licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut and current C.P.R. /A.E.D. certification. Applicants must attach legible copy of license and certification to application. NOTE: Position requires availability for evening, night and weekend shifts. SCOPE OF EXAMINATION: There will not be a written examination. Applicants will be ranked according to their education, training and experience.
