Electrical Engineering Intern at Trans-Lux. Corporation: Stratford, CT
This internship is an excellent opportunity to explore the inner workings of LED (light emitting diode) displays and to become familiar with simple debugging and testing of electronics in an industrial environment. The total scope of the intern's involvement will be geared to your abilities and knowledge as well as your desire and motivation to learn new things.
* Organizing and correlating test data in electronic format using spreadsheets
* Thermal and electrical testing of LED display systems
* Optoelectronic characterization of displays (brightness, contrast ratio, etc.)
* Building and debugging prototype hardware and test sets
* Electrical testing and measurement using standard test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
* Communicating with vendors regarding new components
* Testing new displays; addressing software applications from a user’s point of view
