Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills. Also operate drill presses, mills, lathes, internal and external cylindrical grinding machines. Perform a wide diversity of precision work relating to construction of gages, jigs, fixtures, tooling, and various mechanical devices. Utilize a full line of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, Johansson blocks, bore gages, verniers, and electro limit gages. Dismantle and repair jigs, fixtures, dies, gages, and tooling. Draw rough sketches of minor components. Contribute to construction and maintenance of all mechanical equipment, measuring media and tooling used throughout plant. Work on special bearings and preproduction samples as requested. Help train employees. Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
