The LAN Administrator position is responsible for maintaining the local network (LAN) infrastructure. In addition, this position also maintains and monitors Server and PC support for approximately 250-500 PC users and approximately 30 - 40 file servers at the headquarters in Wilton, Connecticut as well as assisting remote offices.
Network Administration
Develops software upgrade procedures and methodologies for efficient deployment
Provides periodic reports on network utilization and communicates recommendations for improvement to supervisor
Monitors and maintains all local LAN hardware/software
Researches potential network solutions, recommends equipment/software necessary to enhance/maintain an efficiently functioning network
