Financial Administrative Assistant sought in Fairfield CT

I am seeking to hire an organized and capable individual with an interest in helping to build our financial services practice. Our firm provides investment advisory products and services, and insurance products including life, long term care, and disability insurance. While experience in the insurance side of our practice is not necessary, we do expect the individual to be have strong communications skills. The position does not require any selling nor will any be expected in the future. We have a client base of 600 and our office includes myself and a partner who engage with our clients regularly in addition to seeking to establish new clients and provide them with guidance in designing and implementing strategies for retirment, estate liquidity, and financial security in general. We expect the candidate to have obtained a Series 6, 63, and 7 (or some combination) or be willing to acquire these credentials within one year's time. Compensation is based upon the level of existing credentials. While a college degree is not necessary, it will be a factor in our deciding between two equally qualified candidates. The duties required of this position include competency in internet functions, Microsoft (Word, Excel, Power Point), preparing proposals for client meetings that will include investment sales and insurance, client service, office banking functions, maintaining up to date licensing and compliance requirements, and limited marketing duties. We need someone who is willing to learn new things and be part of our team and who is looking to make a career move not just looking for a job. You will be required to obtain any additional licensing that the position requires which will be paid for by our firm. The candidate must be procedural yet able to adapt and react to a dynamic office environment where that person will be the key administrative person working with two other individuals and the two partners.
